Puzzled by Stubborn Pounds? 2 Day Diet Lingzhi Have The Fix
Whenever experts talk about increasing obesity rates, they tend to lay the blame on our crappy diets: too much sugar, junk food, drive-thru meals; you know the story. But the research team behind a new study to be published in the American Journal of Medicine makes the case for a different conclusion: It’s not what we’re eating too much of that’s making our jeans feel tighter, they suggest, but how little exercise we’re actually getting.
Study authors looked at data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, comparing stats from 1988 to 1994 with numbers from 2009-2010, based on interviews and examinations of about 20,000 adults. In that time, the average BMI and waist circumference increased in all demographic groups, with young women between 18 and 39 scoring the biggest jump in obesity rates.And while there was no recorded surge in the average number of calories consumed, the researchers did find a substantial change in the amount of exercise study subjects took part in—with 52 percent of women reporting zero leisure-time physical activity, up from 19 percent between 1988 and 1994. Using this data, study authors were able to correlate higher rates of obesity with a sedentary lifestyle.
Keep in mind that the study had its limitations. First, researchers didn’t follow the same people from 1988 to 2010 but instead used samples meant to represent the U.S. population. Also, the lead author raised the possibility that people in the self-reported survey may have underestimated their calorie intake. Additionally, this finding is pretty much the exact opposite of previous findings on similar topics (namely, that diet is typically more effective than exercise at keeping off the pounds; "abs are made in the kitchen," and all that.) Finally, correlation isn’t causation—in other words, the study doesn’t prove that too little exercise is the reason our BMIs are higher than ever, on average. Still, the research serves as a good reminder that being active—whether it’s through cardio class, a leisurely hike, or just using the stairs instead of the elevator at work—is crucial when it comes to keeping excess pounds from creeping on. You Shouldn't Ignore PMDD
If you suffer from serious PMS every month, you may be experiencing signs of PMDD without realizing it. PMDD, or premenstrual dysphoric disorder, is a severe form of PMS. In the days leading up to your period, it can completely disrupt your life by causing unpleasant psychological and physical symptoms. If you experience any of these common signs of PMDD, it is important to discuss the problem with your doctor.
1. Depression
We all have the blues once in a while, but this kind of depression is more serious than that. If you experience severe feelings of hopelessness, this is one of the signs of PMDD that you shouldn’t ignore. This is especially true if you are so depressed that you have thoughts of hurting yourself or others. This depression can strike completely out of the blue. 2. Anger

With PMDD, nothing really makes you excited or interested. PMDD may cause you to avoid social interactions, as well. If you suddenly feel like being alone for a few days each month, it could be a case of PMDD.
4. Social Anxiety
PMDD-related anxiety not only causes you to lose interest in everything you normally love, it may also cause you to experience an unusually high level of anxiety. Even if you are usually a social person with plenty of friends, this condition can cause severe social anxiety, or a fear of being around others. Do not ignore this symptom if it occurs more than once. If it happens only once, you might chalk it up to a bad case of PMS. However, if it happens repeatedly, discuss it with your doctor.
5. Panic Attacks
Are you normally a level-headed person who only experiences panic attacks before your period each month? If you suffer from PMDD, regular responsibilities like paying bills or job-related duties may completely stress you out. A little bit of stress is normal, but PMDD may cause you to feel a great amount of anxiety. During a panic attack, you might experience shortness of breath and emotional outbursts. If your menstrual stopped, this is one of the worst signs your diet is unhealthy. If your weight loss has dropped so low that your period stops, you need to make changes ASAP! You could hurt your reproductive health, suffer terrible hormone issues, and cause a host of other problems for years to come. Most likely, you’re just under eating, which can easily be fixed by adding in more, healthy calories. You should see a doctor as soon as possible to rule out any health issues.
2. You Fear Fat
If you fear fat in your foods and religiously count and measure calories, you might be hurting yourself. Your body needs healthy fats to function. Your digestive system, hormones, metabolism, brain health, and your reproductive health all depend on fats to function. Choose the right ones, but please don’t fear them!
3. It’s Highly Processed
Diet bars, shakes, and processed foods just aren’t healthy for you and are most likely hindering your health and weight loss too. No matter what that product says, whole foods are always better for you and your weight.
4. You Mirror Inspect
If you are constantly inspecting yourself in the mirror, fearing a little bulge or bloat, your diet might be taking you to unhealthy levels. Allow your weight to do its thing the natural way, and just eat healthy. There’s no reason to worry about a little bulge and bloat here and there. Plus, your body is so much more than a mirror image. It’s made to take care of you, nourish you, and help you live a healthy life. Let it do that and quit inspecting it so much in the mirror!
5. Your Hair Is Thinning Or Falling Out
If your hair is thinning or falling out, your diet might be to blame. Your hair is one of the best signs of how healthy your diet is.
